1. Are Lumion updates free?

Lumion 11: If you own a Lumion 11 License Key, you are entitled to receive all Lumion 11.x updates for free until version 12.0 is released in quarter 4 of 2021.

Lumion 10: If you own a Lumion 10 License Key, all of the Lumion 10.x updates that were released in 2019 and 2020 were free. The last free update that was released was Lumion 10.5.

Lumion 9: If you own a Lumion 9 License Key, all of the Lumion 9.x updates that were released in 2018 and 2019 were free. The last free update that was released was Lumion 9.5.

Lumion 8: If you own a Lumion 8 License Key, all of the Lumion 8.x updates that were released in 2017 and 2018 were free. The free last update that was released was Lumion 8.5.

 

If you own a Lumion 10 License Key (or older), an upgrade fee must be paid in order to get version 11.

However, you do not have to upgrade to version 11 if you do not want to. You can continue to use older commercial License Keys for as long as you want.

2. How do you get the latest update? 

We regularly release new versions of Lumion with improvements, error fixes, content, and new functionality.

When new versions of Lumion are released, we automatically send an email to the address that you entered when you purchased Lumion.  The email is titled Getting started with Lumion, and includes the link to the Download Manager.

3. How do you install the latest update?

Each new release is a stand-alone version of Lumion that must be installed in a new folder (never in the same folder as an existing installation).

You do not have to uninstall older versions of Lumion to install a newer version.
